About Me
I’ve been developing my skills and recipes since I was 12. Growing up I always said I would open a bakery but I never really believed in it. I ended up graduating with a BBA from Kent State University with a major in HR hoping to just get an office job somewhere. I kept baking as a hobby. Then I started to battle with chronic illness, had to cut out a lot of foods. I stopped baking all together for a long time but I’m starting to fall back in love with it again and I’m so excited to bring you all on this journey with me. The goal is to open a storefront so I can ship cookies nationwide and sell fresh hot cookies daily. Everyone deserves a sweet treat!
Why Cookies?
Baking has always been my peace and a way to show love for me. In my high school years I actually sold cookies to my classmates and that’s what paid for my prom dresses! Everyone loves cookies and this is just the beginning. As the company expands, so will the menu. I’m just picking up where I left off.
Why Gluten Free?
I have been dealing with chronic illness since 2021. Since then I have been diagnosed with a fructose intolerance, gluten intolerance and more recently fibromyalgia. I’ve been gluten free for almost 2 years now. I have to be careful of cross contamination as well, so that limits my options even more. You’d be shocked what few restaurants I can safely eat at. I use King Arthur Gluten Free All Purpose Flour blend in all cookies because I wanted to bring a good soft gluten free cookie into the market. I also chose to be fully gluten free because I refuse to sell something I cannot eat or safely quality test.
p.s- I just wanted to eat a good cookie too.
Typically, yes. Most gluten free baked goods are hard, dry and sandy. However, I’ve carefully tested and developed my recipes to bring a regular cookie experience for the gluten free peeps.
Most of my clientele are actually people who eat gluten everyday and they can’t tell the difference. My main goal was to make a cookie that doesn’t feel like something is missing. I believe I have accomplished that and want to share the cookie love.
